One will lie cheat steal to get what they want, the other tries to reason, compromise and assume we all want what's best for the country.

    Please...

Do you really think either party deserves a halo?

I ditched my black and white thinking years ago.

    Neither assessment was a compliment.

I think he's also now being defined by his once established proponents as well.

If Obama wants a second term he better start being more assertive in his policies.

Reforming the Health care system was easy, just about everyone knew there had to be some changes made.

The tougher challenge he faces is turning the economy around, it is most likely this situation that will define his over

all standing performance come the next election.

I'm sure you're right, although it's pretty naive of the voter to think that 35 years worth of crap can be turned around with a nod. It won't happen. First, there are too many who are benefiting from things just the way they are. Second, there are too many Americans who don't get it. That's not to say that he even has his "heart in the right place" so to speak.

Perhaps the Founding Fathers had it right after all - don't let the average American ignoramus anywhere near the levers of power.

However, even after the 2004, "election,"we cling to this illusion of democracy, wherein 30+ years of destructive political fraud should be corrected in 2 years or else give the destructors another chance. The only explanation is that America has a short attention span.

    Meh.

What's most unfortunate about this presidency, is that it has been defined by his opponents.

Sucks when the shoe is on the other foot, no?

That is a profoundly frightening statement
