Yes, that is right, they fired the Faithful Slave class. Who makes up the F&DS class? Why the anointed do, of course. What has the WT told the JWs about the anointed? That they have no special spiritual insight over an above the elders or any other JW. Yes, they are out of work. The GB has all the insight they need right in Bethel- no outside ideas from the anointed are requested or accepted- even if you claim to be one of the F&DS class.

just look at the increasing number of anointed. the numbers are showing that some in the hall are making thier own decision of thier calling, it is nullifying the prophecies regarding the little flock. this is thier failsafe method of damage control to discredit ones.

    the gb are very predictable

These were two of the major WT articles that helped push me out the door (choice excerpts below):

What can be said about the anointed Christians in modern times? In his prophecy about “the sign of [his] presence and of the conclusion of the system of things,” Jesus referred to the composite body of his spirit-anointed followers on earth as “the faithful and discreet slave,” or “the faithful steward.” (Matt. 24:3, 45; Luke 12:42) As a group, the slave class has established an excellent record of “following the Lamb no matter where he goes.” (ReadRevelation14:4, 5.) Its members remain virgins in a spiritual sense by not defiling themselves with the beliefs and practices of “Babylon the Great,” the world empire of false religion. (Rev. 17:5) No doctrinal falsehood is “found in their mouths,” and they remain “without blemish” from Satan’s world. (John 15:19) In the future, the remaining anointed ones on earth “will follow” the Lamb right into heaven.—John 13:36.

Jesus has appointed the faithful and discreet slave “over his domestics,” that is, the individual members of the slave class, “to give them their food at the proper time.” He has also appointed the slave “over all his belongings.” (Matt. 24:45-47) These “belongings” include the growing “great crowd” of “other sheep.” (Rev. 7:9; John 10:16) Should not individual members of the anointed and the “other sheep” trust the slave appointed over them? There are many reasons why the slave class deserves our trust. Two outstanding reasons are: (1) Jehovah trusts the slave class. (2) Jesus also trusts the slave. Let us examine the evidence that both Jehovah God and Jesus Christ have complete confidence in the faithful and discreet slave.

Then just four months later this heavily lauded slave is taken down several notches:

On the other hand, how should other Christians view a person who claims to have received this anointing and begins to partake of the emblems at the Memorial? He or she should not be judged. The matter is between this person and Jehovah. (Rom. 14:12) However, Christians who have truly received this anointing do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights beyond what even some experienced members of the “great crowd” may have. (Rev. 7:9) They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the “other sheep” have. (John 10:16) They do not expect special treatment; nor do they claim that their partaking of the emblems places them above the appointed elders in the congregation.

Are all these anointed ones throughout the earth part of a global network that is somehow involved in revealing new spiritual truths? No. Although as a composite body the slave class is responsible for feeding the spiritual household, not all individuals of the slave class have the same responsibilities or work assignments. (Read1 Corinthians12:14-18.) As noted earlier, in the first century, all were involved in the vital preaching work. But only a very limited number were used to write the books of the Bible and oversee the Christian congregation.

I remember some real anointed bros- the ones in the WT religion from even Russell's day. When they made a comment at the KH, everyone went quiet- maybe this is new light flashing up from Jehoobah! And now I realize that their convoluted antitypes explanation was the just beginnings of dementia.

Why did the GB bother with this?

We're some of the "anointed" getting uppity and needed to be put in their place?

It is beyond reasoning that they have identified a select class - the FDS with individuals who have special gifts/talents and have only a small number in the GB and HQ (where they use their gifts in various ways) and the rest - hundreds/thousands are scattered around with only the responsibility of witnessing and maintaining their faith just like the great crowd.
