    Dear Getting,

Many of the JWs doctrins are based on typical fundamentalist literalism, hence, taking the OT literally regarding a racest, nationalistic diety is not too hard to understand. Once one rejects the Dubs and their peculiar blend of OT/NT rule making and control, it's not too suprising that one might call into question the whole bathtub of dirty water as being hogwash. I know I did and quickly became agnostic after leaving. If one can step back and look a the progression of expression in the OT the NT and the Koran, you will begin to see a developing understanding of the relationship between the godhead and humanity as well as the reality of the "mediator".

Since the Koran even more challanging metaphisics have emerged. I find them able to reconcile the apparent antimonies mentioned above in other posts.

Hope you can overlook the slights to Jah, and tolerate those who have been battered and bruised by those who carry His name.

    cheers,

    carmel

Getting out--- Not all of us are bitter at God-- I for one am not.
It's not his fault that humans --like the JWs-- misinterpret what he has written in the Bible. Yahweh is truth and love and always there even when we don't want him to be. Just because the JWs were wrong doesn't mean the Bible is since they weren't backed by it in the first place. Just a thought Personally, I love Yahweh and know now more than ever that he's there.
gettingout--did I miss it or what is your 'getting out' story? Just curious

Yes Adonia I am getting out :). Still in because of not wanting to hurt family. Trying to fade away.

Carmel, that's why I am here too. I know I'm in the company of those who have suffered because of the WT. I was trying to go a little deeper with them with them on their feelings towards Jehovah. Thanx

Saint if letting it out helps, then do that. I didn't mean to imply that I wanted you to hold it in.

Along the lines of Saint satans post..

Recall Abraham, he had his son strapped onto a pire preparing to offer God a human blood sacrifice.
God stopped him doing it (according to the story)still, Abraham had been in direct relationship with God for years prior to this incident,
obviously Abraham thought human sacrifice in the worship of Jah was proper behaviour.Besides, God asked him to do it..

The theres the old Judge Jepthah story, offering his daughter as a sacrifice.
Dubs say that this was not a literal sacrifice of her life, but a contextual reading of the story does nothing to dispel the notion that it was a blood sacrifice.

Jehovah is a grown God, he can take a joke. He does not care if his name is on a religion that is corrupt, so why should he care if we say something bad about him?

Is this a light saber in my pocket or am I just happy to see you?

Jehovah is the name of God we all agree, even other denominations use His name, Nothing will change that, and yes the org. is what has angered us, not God's name.

PROCRASTINATION IS THE THIEF OF TIME!!

I'ts not Jehovah that upsets, or angers me, it's the cruel and unloving attitude of some people in the org., that hurt others and make them feel so bad you want to leave. "God Is Good."

And I don't remember how Moses reacted when the innocent first born sons lay dead...Well, I guess God was alot more demonstrous back when he flamboyently parted the sea...Now everybody's prayin'...don't pray on me" -Bad Religion

For any who saw my "Who is Jehovah" comment. I was purposely being controversial to stimulate some feedback from the person who started that thread. For me there is the Almighty Creator whose name in Hebrew is YHWH. Then there is this "Jehovah", the corporate god of the Watchtower. I wanted to see if this person was able to make that distinction also. Catch my drift now?
