Has there, or are there any normal pro-WT members on this forum? As in mentally stable, anybody?

Wonderful, thanks for the clarification and insight into your view!

I'll classify myself as "an active JW who's normal and somewhat active on the board." (I keep very up-to-date with it, but only occassionaly feel the need to weigh in.)

Do I think that everything and everyone is perfect in the organization? No. Do I think that there are plenty of crazy people in it that follow it in cult-like fashion? Yes. Do I think everyone in it is like that? No.

If possible, please share with us your opinion on THE question.

Do you believe that WT is 'God's Oragnization'? (Everything else is small potatoes, IMHO.)

@ leavingwt...Do you believe that WT is 'God's Oragnization'?

    .........................

I think I read that question out of a book somewhere once! LOL!

Seriously though, I come here strictly to observe (hence my screen name). I try never to inject my own thinking or feelings on spiritual matters into the conversation. Those that do and feel it's helpful to themselves and others, I respect them. For those that don't, I respect them as well.

That's one of the wonderful things about this forum, it allows people from every point on the spectrum to speak as they truely wish.

I like respectful_observer. Good people, IMO.

But as far as active JWs who would are willing to debate with apostates over WT-related topics... I just don't think you're going to see any 'normal' folks doing that. At some point in a debate, one party may concede a point to the opposing side. In general, JWs can NOT concede to those with opposing viewpoints.

You place yourself at great risk if you hold the opinion that WT is NOT God's Organization. I can respect your silence on this topic.

Totally sane, Love the people in org but no longer trust the org nor what i read in the wtower mag. Yes it looks good but u cant change your mind, if something happens that causes u 2 question. It thier way only and now I see that and know how wrong it is.

stepped down in feb 2010 official around april. I had time to read books which never really liked to read. However if the subject intrest me thats diffrent. like health, memory, brain stuff, subconcience mind, self-help, and when something touched on a spiritual nature it got me thinking and doing more reffrence reading. Lead me eventualy to seach internet and find out what and why apostates and or ex jw's feel the way the do. So now my fall began with dropping pioneering, stepped down as elder, havent commented in months, miss meeting when I never did before. So many friends Im sure are wondering and I know some miss me as an elder. what stops me from dissasociating myself is my wife is difficult and blind and will not listen, Her mom is a witness and owns the house and lives on first floor. Many family members in other halls, and truly I do love the friends and I love people and am affraid to be alone cause im a people person. My problem is with the leadership because gods spirit should not be making so many mistakes and since jesus soposed to be taking the lead also he's been messing up to.. To bad I could not find a decent group-club non religious to associate with cause I can get allong with many.

    Whatever happened to Titus?

He was an active JW who leaned toward the WT on some issues and toward reality on some others.

Also, our dear YKnot is an active JW and an active poster.

It is just that the loons are much more loud and obnoxious and so they seem to stand out more. Which, of course, is why they come here; they're trolls (aka. attention whores) who just want to distract attention from topics and toward themselves.

This is my opinion and my opinion only. The JWs that read this forum for most part don't participate and may not even be members here. These are the ones that are the conscious class who are learning what they were forbidden to know. The ones that post pro-wts propaganda I just don't understand. Scholar, is one example. He believes in satan conspiracy that 607BC "truth" is covered up by the entire world and tries to argue here. If that's not insane I don't know what is. As far as I noticed he hasn't posted on any other topic other than 607BC so I wonder does he scan the topics each day just to find 607BC topic being discussed so he can jump in and defend it? Or is he a Bethal troll with an assignment? After all, JWs are forbidden from associating with df and especially with apostates and that's what scholar does. Raniee and other incarnations of that user or similar ones also are very suspicious of being actual jws or what their agenda really is. If JWs is a devout follower of wts teachings he/she doesn't post here. Period!
