leavingwt, you stole mine! I love that song. I saw the video a thousand times on VH1 when it came out. The video was creepy but I liked it. Is the song about drugs?

Even though I followed the New Wave/Punk thing I had a lot of respect for Tom Petty.
Particularly liked; American Girl, I Need to Know, Yer So Bad and Mary Janes Last Dance

Runnin' Down a Dream is my favorite...the guitar solo at the end is amazing; I once downloaded the sheet music for it just to follow it along. But my favorite version of this song is the 1988 SNL version. I taped it and watched it a lot; unfortunately I don't see it on Youtube. But this is my favorite version of the solo.
The music video is also AWESOME.
