    Good morning, fellow posters.

I got up a few minutes ago to watch time disappear, right before my very eyes - an entire hour, to be exact. As the computer clock approached 2:00 a.m. I knew that this would be the first time I had ever done this: see the time go from 1:59 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.

The earth has moved beneath my feet ...

    Please share your clock-watching stories.

Or is this going to be a dead thread?

    It's up to you!

    Thanks, and happy DST.

I read your post then checked the clock. It said 1:11. Oooooooooo....

    Hi Anne!

I type very slowly! I, too, saw the clock at 1:11 and a shiver clanked upward from the base of my spine, rose to my cerebellum (or do I mean cerebrum?) and shattered it. Yet, I continue to carry on as though I had a brain.

Numeric palindromes have that effect upon me, always have, always will.

Thanks and great hearing from you!

    All the best,

    Hi Coco

I recently had a time disappearing experience. In August I ventured from my home in Australia and visited California for a few weeks. (Had some great times with some of the posters on this board by the way).

When it was time to come home something very strange happened with time. I left California at 11:30pm on a Wednesday evening and arrived home in Australia at 6 am Friday morning. Yet I was only on the airplane for around 13 hours. So where did those 17 and 1/2 missing hours of the Thursday go? Time really did disappear that week!!

IT did not disappeared, the demons took it.

Actually, the hour was duplicated. It disappears when we move the clocks ahead.

    Thanks, Hopscotch, Cyberjesus And WTWizard:

    Hopscotch:

Sorry I missed you whilst you were here! Yes, it happened to me when I visited your continent. Seems it was a full day of some 24 hours spent traveling on land and by air before getting to my destination. Oh, yeah, the disappearing act!

    Cyberjesus:

    You are a mystic!

    WTWizard:

We count on you for logic and reason.

That happened to me back in 1996. I was in the car with my friend Ashley going to her place in the East Bay and we were about to get on the Bay Bridge and I looked at the big BofA digital clock display on the side and it went from 1:59am to 1:00am. Blew my mind, as "daylight saving's time" was a complete foreign concept to me.

Sometimes when I look at an old photo of myself, I realize that I don't remember that day when it was taken and that young woman in the picture is long gone and has been replaced by me she is essentially dead.

I also think about all the days she lived that are forgotten, I can't really remember what she did ten years ago on a specific day yet i know those days were filled with activity. So yes time does disappear and is replaced with today.
