Ever have that conversation with your parents or elders?

"No need to double check our doctrines, you are lucky that you don't have to put in the hours to prove the truth. You were born into it! Don't you feel lucky?"

My mother once said she felt fortunate to be raised in the bOrg and asked me if I felt the same. I was honest and said "No."

Think about what that statement actually says, it actually confuses nature with nurture. You are in fact born into the truth in the sense that you were not yet indoctrinated in anyway as a baby! Of course what happens is you were born to parents and a society that will be obscuring that natural state with an acquired world view that is regarded as the truth.

"No need to double check our doctrines, you are lucky that you don't have to put in the hours to prove the truth. You were born into it! Don't you feel lucky?"

Clearly whoever says this does not understand that there is a difference between conditioning and thinking, and feel that thinking is not required if you are conditioned/programmed the "right" way. It's so nice to live life on autopilot and not worry about a thing, such is the nurturing gift of the Mother ORGanization - it demands no more conscious awareness than that of a morgue.

    Indeed.

Also, anyone who says something like that is obviously heavily conditioned themselves.

luck is not a word I'd use , a sadistic emotionally unstable elder father, a mother who got in on the "rod of discipline" action as well years of unhappiness and isolation, any one inflicting this type of abuse on their children these days would lose them to social services, "sick" is a word I'd rather use.

This is the indoctrination speaking and nothing else, as we all know each person studying with the JWS goes regular programming

to instill the thought that the WTS publishing corporation is being careful guided by god's holy spirit which gives the JWS

the real truth on how to worship Yahweh in the proper way, therefore enabling the JWS to be saved at Armageddon.

How lucky and fortunate can one be in this instance.

The biggest lie that the WTS has ever come up with is that we are living in the end times and all mankind is shortly to be tested by god.

Do you want to know how not to be destroyed at Armageddon, join us in are proper worship of Yahweh and be saved, only to live on in paradise for eternity.

I person raised as a jw never knew anything else. You could liken him to a fish who has never been out of water. It never knew anything else, and also could not explain the nature of water. Likewise, a raised in jw has nothing else w which to compare his life. He is no more lucky than a fish is.
