If I am not mistaken, they have Registered Charity status and any money donated to them is tax exempt.

My Dad still has the old ragazines with the price on them. Having to pay for them always made me do this when I was a kid. This just didn't sit right with me. Donating money for them has the same affect with me.

Issac: OMG! Are you serious. I'm starting to think the WTS is all about money. My parents say that its not.

Outlaw: Yes that is a very funny cartoon, and very accurate.

joliette...if you go to caselaw.com and search for the Swaggart case you would find in the case that the WT filed an amicus curei with the court...which is basically the org giving their opinion hoping to sway the courts decision...it is a matter of public record. You can also google Swaggart watchtower and get an array of info.

One of the biggest things with Jehovah's Witnesses is that don't ask for money, its all on a voluntary basis. This is one of those things that pulls people in, that there not obligated to pay anything, no collection plate, etc.

No plate is passed, but there are contribution boxes quite visible...as well as a monthly accounts report, lit stressing the need to contribute and conventions/assemblies asking in roundabout ways for money.

Yeah, conventions are the big money makers.

Like this video on youtube was saying: its a publishing cult as well as a religious cult.

Thats what the WBT$ tells Jehovah`s Witness`s to say ..

    The Reality is much different..

Money is asked for all the time, from Kingdom Hall and Assemby Stages..

Collection plates aren`t big enough for the WBT$..So there are Huge Contribution Boxes in Kingdom Halls..

Jehovah`s Witness`s have a hard time seeing, what is right in front of them..

Actually, they are supposed to ask for donations to the worldwide work when they go door-to-door. My Dad has, in the past, had a special money bag to hold the donations he'd received.

OUTLAW: I try to tell my parents things without coming out and saying that the towers is all about money. And they say that people are just trying to make the witnesses look bad, that the past doesnt matter, the now is what matters the most.
