Is it fashionable to wear animal print clothing? JWN ladies, do you wear that kind of stuff?

A friend of mine made the statement that only old women wear animal print clothing. She said this some weeks ago, and ever since I have been noticing that it is the more mature of the mature population still wearing leopard print, and zebra print fashions. Granted occasionally I see younger gals wearing that stuff too, but its usually as an accessory such as a shawl. The older women take it way beyond that though, wearing animal print coats, and matching hats. They remind me of an episode from National Geographic or the Discovery Channel.

Another aspect of animal print clothing I see too, is tee shirts and sweatshirts with nature related scenes. People wear shirts with pictures of eagles flying, or deer grazing, or wolves howling by the moon. Do you consider such clothing fashionable? Any of you wear stuff like that? I've always found it ironic that older people don't like the younger generation wearing sports related clothing, or pants sagging, but at the same time these older folks are dressed like Animal Planet, or dressed like they're going hunting. To me wearing a shirt with deer grazing in the woods and jeans is just as bad as wearing a Lakers jersey and oversized jeans sagging.

I know this is a retarded topic, but its just some random thoughts I had to voice. One of our clerks just walked by me and she is kinda "healthy", and older. Her breasts are sagging and resting on her oversized belly. She has a voice and attitude that would be better suited in a diner, as opposed to an office. She would rather yell across the room, than email or call you. Anyways, its a jeans day here, and she has Levis on, and an oversized tee shirt with an eagle flying. The picture of the eagle is probably life sized considering how healthy she is, and the size of her tee shirt. But again, she'll complain about guys who wear sports related clothing. Not that I dress like that, just saying. Oh well........

Any of you dress like that?

I don't care for it, but one of my daughters (teenager) is crazy about zebra stripes.

There is a lot of difference between a leopard print top and pants that are down around a guys knees with his underwear showing..

I no longer wear animal prints but I did when I was much younger..(contrary to your beliefs).

My Mother in law who is a JW loves animal prints and pictures, always has. Her greatgrandmother was a pure indian (Named Miniwa Travelstead)..I suppose she is a nature lover..

I see nothing wrong with it..a little differeence in style is a good thing..except the pants on the floor thing..lol

I did wear a zebra stiped skirt to an 80's party a few years ago, but for regular everyday clothes? Eww, no. But I'm also in my early thirties.

My daughter and her friends have a game, based on the way one of the other girls' mother dresses - she's crazy about leopard print, and wears it, decorates her house with it, etc.

Anyway, when they go out shopping and see someone wearing or merchandise in leopard print pattern they have to say "Ashley's mother!" (Kind of like the old "punch buggy" game from the 70s with the VW beetle.)

lol- I like the idea of punching for leopard spottings scully!

I live in a big hunting town- so comming monday nov 15th I will see camo, deer shirts, and bright orange everywhere- it will not be age-discriminate

    dear miseryloveselders...

I have worn the same faux leopard print fuzzy winter coat for years...it's so warm...and I like it!!

my boyfriend always laughs at me when I pull it out of the closet ,he's bought me matching gloves and hat as a joke...a friend also gave me some cups that have that print on them.

when he was picking out wall to wall carpet for his house he couldn't decide and had about ten different patterns...he threw in a leopard print as a joke. he wanted me to decide for him and at first I said no to the print but guess what he ordered and had installed?...

WE are very "old lady" sexy now...lol

    love michelle
