yes is the answer, but personally don't believe lack of convictionwill leave you in a good place ; you will drift from idea to idea in a wishy washy manner.
It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.

For a JW, it means the difference between changing their mind and accepting a blood transfusion for themselves or a child and DYING. Sincere convictions give you the opportunity to change your mind when presented with new facts- dogmatism can kill you.
