I have plenty of anecdotal evidence of witnesses going through life with the attitude of "we'll just clean it up in the paradise." I wondered if this kind of attitude was manifest in the Bethel homes and factories. Is recycling something that the Watchtower engages in at its facilities? I know at the Conventions there are separate containers for aluminum cans. Are there any other examples of this?
How Eco-Friendly is the Watchtower?

I have always thought that the publications should be printed on recycled paper. When I asked they said recycled paper was more expensive.
Surely, as the bible is clear on the fact that God will bring to ruination those who ruin the earth this is against bible principles. They certainly make enough money to use recycled paper and they should lead by example.
However, I too, have heard that when questioned along the lines of something like this they just reply "God will sort it out in the New World". What a get out.

Why be eco-friendly when the noo systum is so close... By extension why invest anything in this life with no future...
Its really distructive thinking indeed...

Outlaw, you are sooooo...right!
Everyone I know has probably over a hundred Watchtowers and Awakes in their homes. If each publisher only kept their personal copies of the magazines until the new cd came out, why that alone would be 112 million copies. Add to that all the lit not placed (back issues, god I must have 200 right now, and I throw them out occasionally just because it's embarrassing) you could have maybe a BILLION WT's and Awakes!
It's a good thing we have the promise that God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth.

The WTS only recycles if it is cheaper and if the government requires it. Why should they care about today's world....the new world is near (just a joke folks)

I can remember jws saying that Bethel food was organic....based on the chemicals they used and the gloves I had to wear to harvest them, definitely not organic.
