As dubbies, we were sold a bill of goods that said the world was going down into depths of unprecedented moral decay, including Sodom and Gomorrah.
Well, I recently read a book called "Sex in History", by Reay Tannehil.... how eye-opening it was, that most people have NO CLUE how morally f****d up this world has been, in nearly EVERY culture, for THOUSANDS of years!
The world is doing great AND the world is doing CRAP, it can be doing SO MUCH better, but in many ways it has never been as good.
We really don't need to fear bands of maruding bandits burning our villages and killing the people, but of course there are areas in the world that DO have to worry about that.
Fact is, the majority of the world is "just fine", the problem is that while we can fix the parts that aren't "just fine", we seem to be taking a very long time to do it.
