Grandma Jones said, "The old ones from the time you describe would be in Blue binders that say Watchtower."-- is this true of all kh's?

Kingdom Halls may well have many books, which include the bound volumes; BUT

when could anyone read these? My wife's KH opens just 10 - 15 minutes before the meeting starts and they are so keen to close it after the meetings that going to the bathroom is problematic as you could get locked in!

They do not encourage reading books from the KH library.

By our rejecting apostate thinking and material, we display our loyalty to Jehovah and to his visible organization.

This should act as a huge warning sign to anyone who is being 'recruited' that the WTS is a cult. If the WTS is speaking the truth, then it should stand up to scrutiny and they should not be afraid of 'apostate' thinking and material.

Maybe Jehovah's witnesses don't have all the answers after all?

Jehovah's Witnesses told me, when I was a teen over 30 years ago, that they could answer all my questions.

They have NEVER been able to.

I think there are a lot of JWs who are also afraid that they will meet someone at the door that knows more about the Bible than they do.

"Stick to the Reasoning book" sounds to me like, "Get them to forget their questions and stick to the script."

I don't know about the UK, but all the Kingdom Halls I have ever belonged to have them. Ours don't have the old Russell ones and such, but they go back to the fifties.

Actually the Proclaimers book can be quite revealing. I know 2 jws who left after reading it.

Hi Blondie! What from the Proclaimers book made those two witnesses leave?
