  how do you absorb all the hateful rhetoric disseminated here without spitting it back in your spouses face?

  Instead of spitting, I have learned to channel the enery and deficate in the garden. Totally organic.

  You wouldn't believe the size of the pumpkins and squash this year.

  Because as an adult I am able to read, consider and form an opinion. I love my wife and don't feel the need to barrage her with negative information about her choices in life. She respects me the same (because although I am no longer a JW I am still far from perfect).

  I feel your question was worded in such a way as to get a lot of attention rather than actual answers to the question itself.

  Sir/Ma'am, I find your opening paragraph to be rather hateful.

  But it's been 11 hours since your opening post and I doubt you'll be back.

  Spade and I had a previous dialog from which he/she also made ridiculously unsubstantiated comments, to which I answered and he had no reply.

  Thank you Ding and Magwitch. This site keeps me sane, if I did not have my 88 year old mother with me I would be long gone. I sometimes wish I could turn back time I would have never taken him back. This man has put me thru HELL and when he gets to the hall he is one of the good old boys. I don't even know how he goes in service. All he is to the KH is two pieces of paper 1 his time slip and the 2nd of course is his monthly check. What a waste of life.

  I think you hit the nail on the head issac. Something tells me that 'Spade' is just a resurrected poster who got booted off here a couple of months ago.

  Self control, and recognizing that replying in kind to the "hateful rhetoric" spat in my face would only make a bad situation worse.
