Thanks for posting that. Hitchens had the stronger arguments especially the secularist humanist position of empowerment of women. When I think about the JW approach to sisters in the home and congregation and there is no question in my mind that they have lowered their organizational effectiveness by 50%.
I thought Hitchens was not debating because of his treatments for cancer? He cancelled a debate with Dr. James White for this reason, and I suspect (without having actually watched the video) that Dr. White would have been a more formidable advocate of theism than Tony Blair.

NeonMadman - I don't think Hitchens was worried about James White. He has cancelled a few appearances depending on how he feels after chemotherapy sessions.

Thanks for posting these, I'll check them out later. His book, God Is Not Great, thats a heck of a book. Very powerful, and with the exception of his opinions, the historical aspects of it can not be countered by religious folks. It's so factual, I can see why religous people would be fearful of such a publication. As a born-in JW, my upbringing makes me wonder if his book and similar are the seeds for what the WT calls the Beast turning on the Harlot. It makes me wonder if there's some truth to that WT doctrine.
