what did you get the missus ?
We decided not to surprise each other. She freely admits that she never buys me the right gift- women are easy to buy for, but a strange guy like me wants really nothing. I drop hints and she still doesn't buy the right gift. I have circled expensive shoes in a catalog and showed her commercials of things.
We decided to take the Thanksgiving holiday in a tropical location and leave everything behind. We spent money on whatever we wanted and on dining out during the escape, and I had a deluxe fruit basked w/ nuts and chocolates delivered to "us both" waiting for us when we got home.
Further, we have another trip during the Xmas break to another tropical locale, but the stay is cheaper and we will pretty much just see the sights and walk and snorkle for that one- that's my kind of tropical break, the anniversary one was her kind of break.
So, two thousand dollars plus later, we will have exhausted our celebration month. There's more to it, but I don't kiss and tell.

We were also out of town, celebrating Un-Thanksgiving with JW relatives. So these little apostate grapes were spared the winepress of God's Armageddon fury as well.
