  So if I understand this thread correctly there was an organized protest against the Watchtower's disfellowshipping (shunning) policy that got some media attention and seems to have been successful. But, the group that organized the protest is thought by some Italian ex-JWs to be kind of exclusive, too, much like the JWs are. There were some online spats between some ex-JWs and the other ex-JWs who organized the protest, leaving some bad blood between them.

  "Manifestation" is apparently an Italianism, as the Italian word is very close in form to the English word but with a different meaning ("a demonstration").
