She was a classy lady. Her estranged husband and family was with her.

It was reported yesterday that chemo and other methods were given up on and that she had up to two months. She was in the hospital a week or so ago and that there was nothing left to do.
I'm a little surprised it happened so fast after the announcement.
I always felt bad for her having to deal with her louse of a husband... and then cancer.

I am sure the stress of losing a son and then dealing with a very public cheating husband had a lot to do with her stress level and her sickness.

Actually, if I have this right, she found out she had cancer before she found out what a louse her husband is. Small difference I know, but it makes her ordeal just that much more poignant.

I've read her books. She was a strong, brave prson. Even though she had much materially she lost a lot in life - her son and her marriage. RIP, Elizabeth.
