What did he mean by "weak"? If he means, "unable to refute clearly stated logic", he also needs to replace the statement "do more Bible study" with "run and hide from facts". Thus what your brother really was telling you was...

Agreed, afterall, Russel advocated studying the actual bible, not WT literature and trying to justify that literature with selected passages of the bible taken out of context.

You search the internet with the Bible at hand and ask God for guidance . I would recommend right now since the time is winding down and the year 2011 AD is being predicted as the time for the return of Jesus and the end of the world you go to these two websites :

Harold Camping from the Famoly Radio is my best opponent and yet I am very interested in his explanations of the Bible on his fabulous Open Forum program you can listen even by the internet from the website I gave above.

I wrote many posts on alt.religion.jehovahs-witn ( a google group ) I recommend you visist often as we approach the year 2011 AD.

Compare what Harold Camping is teaching to what I am teaching using the Bible all the time and asking God for help .

If you hear about someone making a prediction based on the Bible examine that person's views .

The bible is pretty clear on people predicting the end - Not to believe them and not to do it.

Let's see, did Christ return in 1994?
Evidently, Jesus understanding of complex mathmatical equations isn't as advanced as Mr. Camping's.
Oh well, he's just an imperfect man that's spirit "guided", who didn't claim to be a prophet.
But you'd better believe what he says about 2011, or God'll kill ya!!

He was predicting the year 1994 AD but you don't see the question mark in the title or so ?

He is asked and attacked on his Open Forum program on this issue and he answers very well .

He is not predicting now . The May,21,2011 AD is declared by him as 100% certainty !He doesn't question the date at all !

People quote Matthew 24.36 but they don't go further in the same chapter : Matthew 24.37-39 : Noah knew the time when the Flood will strike the earth.

Matthew 24.45-50 : good servant of Lord will know the time .
