Wow I hope he heals fast. I don't see how it can be legal to punish someone for saving a life? So glad his wife did the right thing! I have seen blood save lives and given oh 200+ transfusions with no bad effects. For what that's worth.
I just heard from OOMPA!!!!!!!

Thank you for letting us know, dear Grace,
Ompah has a special place in my heart, when I was just finding my way out of the WT, he took the time and trouble to send me several E-mails that helped me on my journey, despite having tremendous problems himself, truly a great guy !
I wish him and his lady all the best, and please let him know of the great love and respect we have for him here, and that we are sending him strength by whatever means we can.

Yes his medical records are private and they have no right to know anything. I am so proud of his X wife for doing that for him. She should just say that and keep saying it.
btw, she can recant what she said. I have seen it done many a time. I think mentioning privacy laws and all that might slow them down.

I am very sorry to hear of what OOMPA is going through, and it is wonderful that his wife is supportive. I do not think she will be disfellowshipped for signing a consent form, she was just complying with his wishes. It should only become an issue if she was to say she agreed with his stance.
