You could always reply with something like -
I was once sitting at a table but it wasn't King David's. The food we were given to eat was said to be the best in the land but these servants always managed to make a mess of these dishes before placing them at the table. It was quite alarming what they did with this food, often dropping it on the floor and replacing it back onto their platters, placing one plate on top of another, cramming one dish with another so they could fit more onto their platter and avoid extra trips, stand around yapping with each other so the food got cold and attacked by all sorts of insects and rodents. Sometimes the food became mouldy, right there before our eyes so we were told not to eat it and at other times what looked like fine food was discarded. It was a job just to know what we could eat and couldn't eat. But it was food after all so I ate and I put my trust in these servants that somehow looked like they were in control with all this chaos.
One day, I noticed there was some poisoness mushrooms on the table. No-one else seemed to notice so I took them and threw them out. Well this caused a commotion, everyone pointed at me and started ranting and raving. They said I was wrong and they were not poisoness and I was no longer welcome at the table. They shunned me and none of them would talk to me. There were some that were very sad and said they could sneek me in and I could hide in the corner with my face to the wall but at least I could still eat. I said no thanks, I was grateful for the food they had given me but it was slowly making me ill.
Then on my way out of this city I saw a fine castle, it had many rooms and someone called to me, they called out my name and invited me to enter. I looked a mess and said I couldn't enter but they took my hand and led me to a fine banquet room, I was given a clean robe and was encouraged to wash in spring water. I sat at the table with the most gloriious food in front of me. I could see this food had been carefully handled, it had come straight from the cook to the table without being corrupted and all who shared it devoured it with great joy. I was even given red wine and unleavened bread. I realized then that I had been invited in to eat at David's table and it is through his loving kindness that I am getting stronger. Eating the proper food has made such a difference to me, would you like to join us?
At this table we read the bible and don't just extract paragraphs to suit the mood, rather we look at the context and are able to come to a fuller meaning of the words written. I am not required to blindly accept the interpretations of a handful of men. I'm not restricted to reading the WTBS publications and believe only what they have written rather than the bible. I am able to keep myself open to the meanings of all the wonderful food provided. From this my relationship with God and Jesus is becoming stonger.
Thanks for the invitation but you are mistaken as to who's table you are inviting me to and if you would like me to explain why the food you are partaking of isn't nourishing I will gladly do so. And yes, even you are welcome to David's table even though you have willingly partaken of the wrong food.
