I forgot to mention the high control they will insist on. You will be told what kind of movies to see and entertainment is allowed, what clothes you should wear, what kind of jobs you can have, what kind of education your children should get, what sex acts you are allowed to perform in the marital arrangement (a lot of people don't like the ban on oral sex, but you must obey), how you should spend your time, how your children should not participate in after school activites or school sports, how to spend your money, what kinds of charitable organizations you can donate to, and on and on and on. Believe me, if they came to the door and told you the truth about what is involved, you would have slammed the door in their face.....

Don't allow them to deceive you.

hi michala , please dont take your children into that religion , i used to study with them too , it was at the kingdom hall i met the ministerial servant that eventually raped and abused my 13 year old , i once asked why he never answered at meetings and i was not told that he was not allowed to answer at meetings because he had abused another child but was only reprooved for it !!!! if i had been told the truth then i would have run a mile , nobody warned me ! you have a spiritual need so go to another church , take care and i wish you all the best xxx

I kind of know what that's about as an ex-wife of mine had the same addiction . I sincerely wish you the best in your fight and hope you are getting professional counseling from a drug counseling center to help you.

Many of us here on this site live by the " truth " whether we are Jehovah's Witnesses or not. Truth is a huge part of living our entire life ! So it's good you are concerned about living a " truthful " life. Makes things easier actually.
