I remember all the "bloodguilty" threats. You'd be "bloodguilty" if you didn't go in service, raise your children in the "truth", etc. What a bunch of bullsh*t!

That's pretty direct. They said something similar in a recent (within the past year or two) article regarding Family Worship. When you filtered out the Borg-speak, it read something like, 'You wouldn't want to feel responsible if your kids died at Armageddon, would you? Then you should probably do Family Worship night every week.' So...at least the theme hasn't changed, 69 years later.

If any other business threatened parents by saying (esp. in print) that if they wanted their kids to live they would have to get them to spend 6 hours a day selling their products they would be guilty of a criminal offense.
But the WTS by virtue of its claiming to be a religion (except in Mexico where they claimed they were NOT a religion) are legally able to get away with such death threats as a legitimate way to force children to sell its wares.
The following paragraph to this stated the children needed to do this “work in the remaining MONTHS before Armageddon”
This was not some far off death threat but an immediate death threat, one that would be carried out in the next few months if their kids didn’t get out selling.
Truly a loving malevolent evil totally immoral organization.

Death threats and the Mexico thing really defines how screwed up the WTBTS is. Both issues are unforgiveable and unexplainable.

They are supposed to be pushing this littera-trash during school? Even if the schools will accept it during breaks, I thought that people attend classes to be educated. And that means learning how to read, write, and use math and science, not pushing religious littera-trash. I can remember that, one sure way to get a detention (so they won't be able to go out in field circus with the congregation at 3 PM after school) is to disrupt in-session classes by trying to get other students into your religion. Even talking about regular things (what you are going to do after school) during these lectures would earn you a detention. Just imagine if you are trying to push a religion during a class lecture.
And, I do believe most schools have policies (that are enforced) against actively trying to push religion on people. You are pushing littera-trash of a religious nature, you are violating school policies. Hell, if students can't even sing Christmas carols or put Christmas decorations up or make Christmas decorations during in-school art classes, when are they going to be allowed to place Washtowel littera-trash?

WTWizard, the quote was from a Watchtower from 70 years ago, things were a little different back then. The newer School brochures allude to the fact that proselytizing while at school or at work may not be allowed.
