Women are the guardians of sexual pleasure. It is built into them to be much more hesitant to hop in bed with someone. This frankly pissed a lot ancient men off, still pisses a lot of men off. My father died while trying to evict me from high school against my will. When I hit puberty, all gloves were off. The Witnesses did not beat me and my family. I doubt the Witnesses could demonize blacks or Latinos (growth industries for the Witnesses) the way they do women. What type of woman sits in that convention and does not walk out en masse hearing Rutherford's words. My mom remained seated. I grew up with no true role models. My mother was abused severely and was forced to work outside the home. She received flak from the brothers who demanded her attendance. Not once did they ask my father why he was such a jerk that he could not support his family properly. Margaret Mead was around. Law schools had a single female lawyer sometimes. Female doctors? No way. Female Bethelites? rare with no status. My brother aspired to intellectual work travelling the globe from Bethel. I actually attended a meeting at a convention where i could type or clean.
