"I'm a Christian. I've made mistakes myself. I believe fervently in second chances," Carlson said. "But Michael Vick killed dogs, and he did in a heartless and cruel way. And I think, personally, he should've been executed for that. He wasn't, but the idea that the president of the United States would be getting behind someone who murdered dogs? Kind of beyond the pale."
I wonder how many steaks or pork chops he's consumed. Perhaps a visit to a slaughtering house is in order for him.
I'm not in agreement with Vick's egregious behavior, but I agree with the President that Vick should be given a second chance.

If he receives a career ending injury I don't think it would be right to tie him to a tree and beat him to death with a shovel or have three guys empty their 9mm pistols into him.

If Vick deserves to be executed for killing dogs, then we all should be executed, because all of us have killed one time or the other.
Even if it's only dreams that we've killed, it's killing.

That is an over the top comment about Vick needing to be executed. But, I can't get the image of him electrocuting dogs in a swimming pool out of my head either. I'll never be a fan. But, he doesn't need me.
I just wonder if Vick wasn't caught,if he still would be fighting dogs. But, again, it's not a capital punishment offense.

And I think that commentator could care less about Michael Vick's status. He just wants to be opposite of whatever position the President takes.
