I was trying to be clever, saying that the above is 'Christ-like'. (The Way)

Of course, its not the only way to BE. But I think it is the only way for us to ever BE at peace, and to live in love. I'm not sure Ghandi would have had a different view than forgiving others their mistakes, and doing our best to learn from our own?

Only way for YOU to be at peace. Why does there have to be a steamlined way to "be at peace"? We are not robots, we are all unique and have different things that place us in peace.

It's true you can find common threads in the story of how people come to peace, like: love, forgiveness and humility, but no one creed has a copyright on these values.

Also, just because a creed doesn't have a copyright on said values doesn't discredit their validity as a group, no?

I believe that humanity cannot be at peace unless humanity learns to forgive one another, and puts that learning into action by doing so. Making mistakes does not mean we cannot be at peace. But being unable to forgive for those mistakes, yes, I do think that means we will not find peace (for all). Not until we learn this. (now we can often forgive those we love, because we love them... not always so easy to forgive those we hate)

And no, I don't believe that any one group has a copyright on finding peace.
