Today's music is overtly commercial with little depth and emotional appeal.
Hip hop, Rap, poppy young teen crap thats targeted for the young teens.
The respect of music itself is down played, replaced by stringent commercialism and target maretting.
My opinion is when music videos started that weaken the important value of the music itself .
Music through the 60's, 70's, 80's had to stand on its own for public acceptance.
Today's music doesn't really have to be that good because it's
marketed to the public in a different way VISUALLY
