Why are so many guys getting their arms tattoed? Looks awful, like they have been in a fire and have ash all over their arms, or like they have gangrene. Just looks kinda dirty. I have nothing against a tasteful tattoo here and there but what's with so many young guys getting nearly their whole arms tattoed? Guess they think it makes them look tough but all they look like is a criminal. Just a dumb fad except it doesn't wash off. In 25 year's time they'll be thinking "what the f was I thinking"?

People with too much idle time in their hands and not enough moral substance in their minds. I heard some comedian say recently that "tattoos are a permanent mark of temporary insanity".
Here in Florida that practice is so prevalent that even people you'd think have some sense are getting tattoos. It's awful! Another disfiguring and self-mutilating practice gaining ground is that cartoon-looking ear/nose gauging.

Depends what it is for me I suppose. I don't have any tattoos but plan on getting a couple. I've met some guys that get crazy full sleeves, skulls, etc. I get it you're tough. Another guy I know literally tattooed his life story in his sleeves, it's really touching.

Exactly. At least the older fads like long hair and platform shoes were easy to ditch once they were out of fashion. Personally, I've always found tatoos to be unattractive.

It's not just the guys. I've seen girls that were covered with tattoos. I don't get it either.

I see a lot of men and women come into the BMV/DMV with neck tatoos- wonder why they always ask for just picture ID's and DL reinstatements? How much, man, is it gonna cost me to get my hardsip (sic) license? Women have a hard time with tattoos of boyfriends who later leave town- who wants a ho with some other guys name on their neck?

The thing is....... They're not unique anymore....when something becomes so main stream it's NOT cool anymore.....The people getting them now are jumping on the band wagon to late I've noticed some stars & artist are getting them removed (and they can afford to )
I'm not sure....... I think it was Usher or someone like him talking on TV the other day, about rmoving his tats.
