I still haven't seen this yet. It's one of those movies that's on my radar, but occasionally falls off. Thanks for bumping this, Leaving.

Not only is it a solid Western movie, the cinematography is terrific.

I had every intention on seeing it when it was in theaters, and for whatever reason I just never got around to it. Screw Family Worship Night(I'm single so FWN doesn't apply to me) tonight, I'm going to stop at the DVD/CD store as I'm sure I can find a $5 copy right after work.

Let me ask you, is it up there with the classics like Once Upon a Time in the West, or Josey Wales?

I would say that this is a 'small' film, compared to those, but you'll have to judge for yourself. It's a pretty straightforward conflict, with some colorful and charming characters.

    BTTT!!!!

I just got done watching True Grit, the remake. Well done, although I have to say it's definately not on the same playing field with Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns, but then again, not much is, or will ever be. None the less, very good film. I thought the ending was kinda sloppy though, and half hazzard. I don't want to say why for the sake of those yet to see the film, but it still was a 3 star, maybe 3 1/2 star out of 4.
