Here's one reference from WT 76 p. 285:
"Paul begins by telling that he is an apostle of the good news, that he is not ashamed of it and that ‘the righteous one will live by reason of his faith.’ (Rom. 1:1, 16, 17) This good news holds out the hope of everlasting life to those working at what is good. God is not partial, and so the Gentiles, even though not having a statement of God’s laws, had a law written in their hearts.—Rom. 2:7-16"
Page 31 of WT 1981 though says:
"Paul begins by telling that he is an apostle of the good news, that he is not ashamed of it and that ‘the righteous one will live by reason of his faith.’ (Rom. 1:1, 16, 17) This good news holds out the hope of everlasting life to those working at what is good. God is not partial, and so the Gentiles, even though not having a statement of God’s laws, had a law written in their hearts.—Rom. 2:7-16"
Comment: It is fascinating in this world of electronic information that search engines can be manipulated to exclude references some don't want certain ones to come across. It's like if you are in a secret club or some elitist group and do a search you'll get all the references, but if you're just a regular inquirer some of the special references will not show up. Same with discussion boards. Moderators can manupulate and screen who actually sees your messages.
Ray Franz referenced this generally in his book "Crisis of Conscience" which basically explained how some "mind control" works with regard to propaganda; that is, under the guise of you making up your own mind based upon several choices provided, only the choices that would lead you to their intended conclusion are provided in the first place. You are never exposed to the entire argument or all the information. That's why you have to do your own researh sometimes to get to the truth. An example: It's like wondering if tobacco is good for you or not. At the library there may be 5 books on the subject, three against it, but two talking about some benefits of tobacco. But you send someone to the library to get information and they bring back only the 3 books that are anti-smoking. You base your conclusions on those filtered references and not the entire available references.
So filters are just a new way to keep people in the dark and to manipulate information.
If you are new, you might not ever know there was a book called "Babylon the Great Has Fallen. God's Kingdom Rules!" That entire book is not included in the CD! Clearly it has too much controversial, non-Biblical stuff in it they don't want current members to focus on!!
