Well, I guess that pretty much does it folks. There is enough controversy to rebutt my two italian friends. It will be interesting to hear their side. I will post their e-mail replies, once I receive them.
I have visited those other sites in the past, and was not satifsfied because of what I had learned in communication with Palego's group.

OK. I just sent Angelo and Francesco an e-mail asking for their version of the facts surrounding the "doctoring of images" controversy.
Just a side point. Although the other site lists "Noah's Ark Images" rather than photos does not necessarily prove or exclude anything. Remember, these guys are not native english speakers. In italian, the word "IMMAGINE" can mean a drawing, photograph, image, likeness, etc.
They were probably just seeking to translate in english "a-la-web-speak" for images or photos, like jpeg, gif, tiff.
who cares what their interpretation of images is? i'm sure they know what morphing is...

Who cares you ask? Those that were invited to review and share their thoughts about the ark expeditions. When evaluating a matter like this one, all details-minute or magnanimous become important and have a degree of relevance in drawing an intelligent conclusion.
I am content to await the responses from my compatriots and engage in further discussion. If you are academically interested, please oblige yourself. If you are looking for confrontation, let's handle that in another topic, in other words (step outside - digitally speaking).
Come on! It's obvious to anyone that these photos are fakes. I don't believe their creators really expect or even want anyone to take them seriously. They are only putting them on their site for fun. This is just silliness. That you apparently take them seriously, or think they even expect you to, is hard to believe.

Perhaps, you will be proven right. I always leave room for doubt, until I have enough facts to risk making a judgment for myself. Right now, I haven't heard my friends version of the story.
When I do, I will post it and we will compare notes/theories. The photos don't appear doctored, unless I make an extra effort to conjure that appearance. Photos never accurately portray reality anyway, especially in the moment an image is captured. I say let's wait and see.
