I am not a witness. Not anymore. In Romania, that elder's grooming would be considered outrageous. I knew about the shorts in the Lower countries or in Australia and I guess wearing a kilt in Scotland is also not strange.

I so wish for this movie to be done in English for the U.S. Too many Americans won't watch subtitled movies. Of course, the beard would have to go, to Americanize the rules of the organization in U.S. about that. Most JWs would not be embarrassed about the film, because of their self-righteous attitude of, 'see, what happens when you go with a worldly.' But at least, more non-JW people would be informed as to the suppressing spirit and coldness of the organization, for the production captures that fact.
Tidbit: the ex-JW girl is cameo'd at the very end of the film, in the train, a pretty blonde girl smiles at the actress playing her part.
