Thanks! I should clarify, I wasn't with Bethel. I merely meant I left the organization. Perhaps I was too glib!
I left when I realized it didn't really answer my questions about life. I gave the elders a list of questions I had since I stopped going to meetings, and they came over, skirted or avoided all of my 8 questions, suggesting that to have them answered I needed a bible study, to properly understand! So it was like, sorry! You had your chance. This upcoming march/April will be the first memorial I haven't gone to in 35 years. Born and raised in the organization.
It was hard to break the idea that I could not look at critical websites/publications.
