By the way, my father told me more this morning about his own 'conscience' matter that the elders rudely tried to override with their own consciences. He lost his job a few years ago because of this and he is still smarting from the pain.

I think he must be miserable right now, with 2 disfellowshipped sons and 1 son (me) that's an atheist.

Maybe I can share this with him.

Me. I am a lunatic! Seriously, were I to post this in one giant posting, it would be about 60 to 70 pages long. Makes for easier reading when I cut it up. But then again, didn't you too serialize some of your experiences?

Very touching story, looking forward to reading more.I really enjoyed the part about how you treated your children, letting your son act in a play, and not pushing them into choices that they may regret later in life.
