This morning I went to my computer to find my screen packed with messages.

Several asswipes keeps sending me advertising messages on my Yahoo! Messenger. When I put the username on "Ignore" the person increments the username-number by one and sends another message.

This has been going on for the last few days.

David: Did you try going to Login then Privacy Settings, and clicking on "Ignore anyone who is not on my friends list"?

    Expatbrit,
That was the first thing I did and it has had no effect. The messages keep coming. Thanks though.

    David:

That's pissy! I reckon it's time to complain to the Yahoo helper. See what they suggest.

I'm not sure if it will work in your program but this might be worth a try

Take the name - let's say " [email protected]" is the nutcase posting to you. You block sam 1 and he sends sam2 sam3 sam4...

try blocking sam* and it might get rid of all the sams

    Open yahoo mail

go to filters....then set a filter to move all email messages with a "from header" that "contains" the first part of the senders email to the Trash folder.

In this instance that's all you can do on yahoo apart from sending an email to [email protected]
