The WT is well known for taking quotes outof context, let's do it to them.
"Witnesses do not shun family members because of differences in religious beliefs"
If I am DF'd for Apostasy my JW family will shun me for my difference of religious belief.

On its own, that sentence is correct, but in the context of Nathan's situation it is not relevant.
Family members of another faith are loved bombed in the hope that they will be recruited at some time in the future. This courtesy is not extended to ex-members.
Show me a WT document that demonstrates otherwise.
