sd-7, the 1984 cover would work too. either way, it would the DC higher-ups in an interesting position of having to hide or purposefully igone their own literature.

Again, having no commentary on the photo is what I think would work best. As soon as you alter it, you give everybody an easy out.

Actually, this is a great idea......Can you imagine just having a bunch of old WT and Awake covers up? Then at the end, we could show them where New Light really comes from:

It is quite an intersting idea.

Advertisements, billboards, t-shirts, etc., with nothing but a Watchtower original magazine cover or slogan, no added commentary, and the org has to try to hide their own past stuff.

    Ironic.

I wonder if I could get df'd for wearing this. That would be a great way for df'ing. You are only wearing something that THEY created!

The Tacoma Dome as a streaming display at the top of the building, visibile from I-5. Usually they run ads for upcoming events, so of course the JW conventions are up there. I wonder what it would cost to get them to ad the url's for this site, and freeminds.

I love the idea of the watchtower covers, but I suspect legal would be all over it.

disclaimer: I know nothing about law other than that I don't like to be on the wrong side of it.

... I don't think using a Watchtower image of a publication would work under "fair use" unless it was only a small part of the entire advertisement ... the only way around using an image (in the U.S.) I think would be as a parody, but then the image must be altered and be an obvious parody, and even if it was legally a parody, it would probably cost a good deal defending the suit that would probably be forthcoming.

I would like to mention that the Watchtower has done this themselves...

The WBT$ has no problem putting "OUT of ORDER" signs.. On vending machines at assemblies, that work perfectly fine..

They will simply cover the sign over..

Any sign has to be out of the reach of the WBT$.. Or they will do as they please..

By the Authority of the WBT$..

    This Coke machine is Officialy..

Ya, but what on earth can they possibly sue for? Having their own words come back to bite them in the ass?

Oh wait a minute, they already tried that with Quotes...........That would still be a scream and a half to try it..........
