I just ran across an old aquaintance who is a former Missionary (along with his wife) - although I think they just went to serve in S.America on their own, not gilead endorsed. They live in the Las Vegas area now, and are promoting a new MLM company called 'Kaching Kaching' (look for it on youtube, pretty cheesy) Wactching them on these videos saying things like "do you want a piece of the multi billion dollar pie???" just blows me away.

I can't help but wonder if they are even still active. If he is still an elder, I would be blown away. I don't want to say their names, but if you think you know anyone from there, check it out. It's actually funny!

    A thought:

Why not spoof an email from WT headquarters ("[email protected]") to the support email address on that website.. something like:

"The is the financial department of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WTB&TS). We are interested in investing in your business. As you know, the WTB&TS appreciates "kaching". However, we are not able to directly invest in your enterprise. If you wish to accept our offer, please use our secret communication channels via the apostate website jehovahs-witness.net. If you are interested, please register the user "kachingking" on jehovahs-witness.net and start a thread titled "The WTS loves peach cobbler and mayonnaise". Our group of twenty internet spies at bethel will be monitoring the site for this thread."

If they are former witnesses, it might catch their eye.. :).

Mustard, yes...I am still mischievously thinking of that. I did find out through a mutual friend that they are still JWs...

Maybe they are somewhat inactive and just doing there thing (if that's the case, good for them) or they are in a very liberal hall in Vegas.

I don't mean to slam MLM maybe it works for some. I just don't have or have never understood the salesman mentality, so when I see people 'doing their thing' saying things like "the billion dollar pie" and "the sweet sound of money...kaching, kaching" It just makes me laugh.

What they are promoting is just so contrary to JW dogma about greed and the love of money...I am just still ..surprised that it is the same couple I met long ago when they were pioneers.

but hey, people change...look at me posting here. 10 years ago I thought I'd be an elder at this point in my life. lol.

I hope they are happy doing their thing! Sounds like they are millionares now. heck I'd be happy!

I volunteer sending a spoofed email from WT headquarters to the support email listed on that site... for fun...

So, that being the case, should I go with my original message (see above)? Does anyone have any other good suggestions to 1) grab their attention and make them think its a real email, 2) get them to this site to post something so that we have some feedback it worked - which would then lead into hours of laughing hysterically.

JWs are often very susceptible to MLMs.

    My Dad was.

I was, briefly, too. It didn't take.

The "Friends" pyramid scheme went through the California central valley congregations in the late 70's-early 80's. I didn't get involved but it turned into a complete "Cluster F---" involving dozens. Kept the JCs busy for awhile.
