The ratio of publisher to population is 1 to 147. For the US it is 1 to 259. So there seems to be a higher concentration of witnesses among the population there.

The November OKM page 8 says as of Sept 1 2010 the Hawaii came under the oversight of the US Branch
I wonder how the Hawaiian JWs feel about that.
I once visited the Hawaii branch. It was quite small, but they were obviously proud of it.
How much of the anti-American political slant of the native Hawaiians carries over to the congregations? Maybe "anti-American" is too strong, after all they are Americans too. But my perception is that Hawaiians view themselves as "Hawaiians first, Americans second".
Will there be a bit (or more than a bit) of underlying discontent at the idea of being "lumped in" with the rest of the haoles?
