Blondie writes:
“I have found the GA to be just one "joke" after another.”
From a contemporary perspective that finding is unavoidable, and I agree. Golden Age was loaded with quackery from one end to the other. But back in the day don’t forget that Farmers Almanac was relished by a large readership is the ultimate source of information, and it was just as much a joke. So Golden Age was not far from the then prevailing mark of popular consumption.
But, and digressing back to the subject, in this case the praise of Mrs. Kelty donating her blood to feed a small child to save its life is telling of Watchtower’s then view of blood. It is little wonder that every single one of the Bible Students incarcerated at Ravensbrueck concentration camp during the German Nazi era were willing to eat blood sausage, though they were already placing their lives in jeopardy over religious beliefs.[1-2]
