Omg, snowbird, this is loaded language, and fakeness at its best.

I see an issue besides their cold legality masquerading as warm. Our culture is Judaeo-Christian, We send our warm Christian love sounds as tho only they can have Christian love. They believe so. It sounds likes. "My commendation as the leading human ever existing on earth."
I grew up in the Witnesses. There was love in some personal relationships with other Witnesses, depending on the Witness. When my aunt was near death, she made a big point with the hospital that she only had one sister and gave them my mom's name. She was a very active Witness. Love was so lacking. Christ's love was even more absent.
Preaching to the choir, though.

Slyvia- Yes, they used to say that on letters I recieved from them too. But not on the last one I recieved. And they never replied to the most recent letter I sent them.
miseryloveselders- that gets to me too. Someone asks how I am doing, I tell them and they respond "that's good!' or "thats great!" when I just told them about something bad that happened to me.

It's sad that it has turned into such a platitude. I have heard people say it with meaning, but it's hard to when you've said it 1,000 times.

HA! It ironic because I mentioned this very statement to a brother in FS this morning. I was wondering why they dont say it anymore. Another thing they dont do anymore is stating the attendance out loud at the meeting anymore. Like "Will all *reads attendance* please and sing song #..."

Actions speak louder than words.........
Made me wonder what kind of love they showed in their own congregation too. (or at times I already knew, little if none)
