It is interesting that they included the quote "In August 2007, a team of experienced composers and lyricists were invited to assist the Governing Body with the project" since one of the experienced composers that worked on the new songbook is no longer a JW.

The songs sound like communist anthems!
One of the songs at least 'Ever Loyal' uses the propoganda technique 'bait and switch'. It starts off about being ever loyal to the dub's brand name for god then switches to being 'ever loyal' to men who take the lead.

The governing body wants so much to be worshipped- it is sickening. They just keep putting more and more emphasis on themselves- nothing subtle anymore.
And when I read that section in the yb about how careful and accurate the writing dept always is it came to my mind all of the contradicting info the g , w, and km and Bethel tour brochure gave on the size of the wallkill printery and the incorrect book production info the w gave in a chart on their ten/eleven year production. They sure are ACCURATE!!!!

There is nothing careful and accurate about what the GB puts into print. If they were really careful, there would be some type of database with the different doctrines and ideas they have put forth in the past to refer to when they write or attempt to clarify certain issues. Apparently they just go from collective memory or perhaps they don't even bother. Since they have discouraged JW's from reading the older publications it's figured that whatever they say will be accepted as Truth no matter how weird it is.
There doesn't seem to be a distinct time line in which publications from a certain era are no longer valid. It's pretty much random.
It makes me think of
Revelation 17:6
6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God's holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.
When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
Clearly the GB is drunk on their own power over people and like a drunkard says and does things that doesn't make sense to a sober person.

the Writing Department insists on using only material that is accurate and truthful, even regarding seemingly insignificant details. As a result, "the faithful and discreet slave" can consistently supply spiritual food that brings honor to "the God of truth,"
and there, is another lie from the writing department!

I hired a banner plane to circle Dodger Stadium in the early 80s for about 10 minutes during the Sunday District Assembly talk (50,000 people) that said, "1980 WT Shakeup" and a recorded message number. The WT complained and had Los Angeles ban that from happening again, so they can't try that. I beat 'em to it. :-))
In retrospect it should have said, "The Governing Body and its cronies suck."
