Congregations here with 3 (or more congregations) usually only have 2 use it due to parking and changing begin/end. The other is on their own or combines with another congregation from a 3 or more KH.
But I like what OTWO says about it contributing to morale. In the last f ew years I attended, attendance dropped every year. I can remember years before that where cong with 100 pubs would have 250 to 300 attending. The last year I attended 90 pubs had only 150 attend. jws felt sad b ecause they couldn't compete with other congregations re attendance since it was 2 or more congregations. When I posted on a loyal jw db, that was one of the most active threads.
May you all have peace! The congregation I used to attend did that with 2-3 other congos for several years. Funny thing? It was called the "Such-and-So Something of the Whatnot 'Holy Ghost'!" The dear one and I who attended there for about 4 years in a row always got a kick out of that. Someone must have said something, though, as they changed to renting out the Main Library Grand Hall dowtown (Sacto).
Ennywho...
Again, peace to you all!

@RubaDub,
When I lived in FL, we held memorial observances in local schools too. Five or six congregations would go in on it... it was common.
Thanks,

I can understand it when there are thee or four halls meeting at the same KH but where I live at the most two share a hall. It truly is that that big of deal to work out two Memorials in one night. I think it is what Blondie said in that they want it to seem larger than it truly is. With four hall at about 80 publisher each that will be 320 alone then throw in the extra's and it will seem bigger than it truly is.
I just think it is a waste of money and what will the neighbors say that live by the KH's, that was their one time of the year to shine now the hall will be dead that night and they truly loved that. Oh well.

Well at least she didn't whip out a can of Cheese Whiz to go with it!
brotherdan: "It's the one time they focus on Jesus."
Yes, because it's a celebration of death. You cannot celebrate birthdays, but you can gorge yourself with a blood drinking occult ritual to celebrate the victory of shutting up a trouble maker who exposed too much corruption that was going on among the priests and political leaders.
Brother Dan, The image in my mind of somebody snatching the bread away from someone is very disturbing.This is coming from someone who has the faith of a mustard seed....... What would Jesus think? A couple of years ago, when I lived in WI,. I went to the memorial . It was in a beauiful assembly hall a mile from my house. I move alot, and have always let the JW call on me. Sometimes I would study with them.Not any more! They still come, bring the mags.....and visit for 45 min. They love counting their time with me..last week the study was GETTING BAPTIZED TO YOUNG! lol..... SN ,I bet the Catholics bake better crackers ! ..............LTS does it bother you that the JW gather to not partake.??....What does it mean if their wrong about this??
HOLY CRACKERS DAN! thats too funny
brotherdan --- too funny - couldn't stop laughing about her chewing on the cracker.
