what did the jews believe about life after death?

    Varian, I am a Reform Jew. We have no set beliefs about an afterlife and can believe what we wish about the matter. We believe if we take care of this life, the one to (possibly) come will take care of itself.

    BTW, Varian:

    Judaism is a religion of Life not Death. We do not worry about the world to come because all that matters is this life and what we do with it. I've always thought it a shame that other religions teach their members that this physical existence is awful and the one to come after we die will be better. To me and most Jews, it's an insult to God to imply that life on earth is inferior and not a blessing from the Most High.
