It was normal in my cong for people to blame bad things in their lives on the devil, things like the car breaking down, people at work giving you hassle, Householders not wanting the mags etc etc

Did no one ever think how stupid and werid this sounded???

    G'day, highdose:

Now back at the KH, I notice it constantly and all the more so as the end draws near.

I refuse to think it or say it, as I may have done so in the past. It's a cop out for our own failures or the mere time-and-unforeseen-occurrence dilemma.

    Thanks,

    CoCo

Yes, it's called superstition. Da Debil made me do it. It's interesting that they acknowledge that the Devil can get inside of you somehow and make you do things involuntarily, and yet the gnostic/Eastern idea that Satan is a metaphor for internal egos is ridiculous to them. It's too bad, because they miss the whole point of the Bible by thinking everything is outside of them, including "God".

What I screw up is MY fault.

What WE screw up is OUR fault.

What the "world" screws up is the "world's" fault.

Satan is NOT to blame for the crap we do to ourselves.

As the "accuser" his job is clear, to accuse us of being unworthy, the fact that he "points out" when we are is NOT something to blame him for.

Originally I remember my Mom blaming stuff on the devil and it didn't make sense. Later as I grew I started to think the Devil was quite active up until my departure from the Borg.

I recon auld clootie is more active than Jar-Hoover and on balance god has been totally ignoring me whereas auld clootie has been quite interactive. Satan being more interested in me than the 'brand named' fake JW god.

I now think it's all just the cult propoganda technique of 'mystical manipulation'.

As Cliff Richard sang : Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music..........

many did and still do. i never did, never made sense to me. everything bad that happend seemed perfectly human to me...

edit: after having all my prayers answered with silence, i tried selling my soul to the devil in exchange for being a rock star, didn't work out though.
