Scott, I've gotten those before. It's best to delete. One time I did respond to one of those kind of emails with an angry message- I'd had a couple of beverages before doing it though; it's best to ignore.

This happens frequently to me. Don't worry about it, and don't reply. The emails are sent in mass, not just to you, and he could have got your email address from anywhere.

I got one a few years ago from some lady who said her husband had accumulated 18 million dollars while working for Pacific Gas and Electric. Her husband died and she couldn't get at the money without my help. She was going to pay me 10% for my trouble. I emailed her back and told her she could have all of it if she told me how to make 18 million working for the gas company. I never heard from her again.

It amazes me that people apparently fall for this.

@serenitynow! ; I have deleted it of course. I have reported it too as spam to my internet service provider. Hopefully, it does not come back again.

@ILTSF , I think, tits interesting to know that I was not only the one targeted as such. I was thinking may be those guys thought I am a rich guy or something like that. Not sure how did they got my email address.

JeffT , $18 million, that is a lot of money. Getting that huge amount of money after a husband has died would not be that hard if one hires an attorney. Lawyers are after deep pocket companies. Therefore, they thought you was an easy target as such. But those guys do not give up. They might return back probably with a new story.
