Hej High dose, good to hear that your life is going so well now that you feel ready to quit the meds. It takes a few weeks before the side effects wear off; I had the dizzy spells for quite a while, it will pass. If you have any really nasty reaction go to the doctor, I cut down very very slowly over a month or two until I was taking a quarter tablet every second day.
Love and a hug to you

Well, with a name like 'High Dose' ... (sorry. j/k)
Seriously, though, your doc really should be involved. Different drugs require a different 'taper-down/off regimine'. For you healthy and safety and for the safety and sanity of those around you, you really should let a qualified physician guide you off any long-term drug. Especially one with such an extensive list of withdrawal symptoms.
It's not just a comfort or stick-it-out issue. It really could be a safety issue. But only a qualified doctor can tell you what to do.

I've had serious vertigo attacks a couple of times in my life.
Wouldn't wish that on anyone...

hi everyone, thankyou for your support, heres an update on me: i've been off the meds for 6 days now. The vertigo is still there but not nearly as bad as it was before. The "brain zaps" ( awful things) have almost and the tinnitus is easing.
Emotionaly i am still fine though.I did some more reaserch into the specific meds i had been on and it would seem they are infamous for giving terrible withdrawal symtoms.
6 days gone... hopefully i will be even better in another 6 and then never again will i be "highdose" anymore

Well, be careful. Have a close friend or family member check on you at least daily.

For anti-depressants, I was on a half-dose for a year and tapered down taking a pill every other day for a month, then spreading further apart. I didn't have any serious problems, but if I did, the doctor was prepared to switch me to something else for a while that would ease transition.

that doctor thing!!!
the nature of many of the pharmaceuticals for depression
is to amend or alter brain chemistry, sometimes to the
point where the brain will reduce or cease its own production
of certain neurochemicals, becoming heavily dependent on the
outside source....please dont do this without supervision!!
