I thought that deserved it's own thread. When your JW loved one or friend says anything about the end being so close, how conditions show how deep into the end of this system we are, simply reply:
"That's subject to overlapping."
This will definitely be used!

One of the things that pushed me over the edge and made me leave 'cold turkey' was the overlapping thing. Now the big 'A' need never come in our lifetime (it won't anyway but y'know, for argument sake), and the smug GB can say......'See we're right! They're still overlapping is why!'

So if Armageddon were to come, they would say "See, we told ya."
And if Armageddon doesn't come, "See, we're right about the overlap."
I am not sure, but I think it was in print, I definitely heard it from someone here that JW's have said, "They must be right about this because Armageddon isn't here yet." Such backwards logic.
