Yet, she has figured out that the JW's are a cult, something my almost 22-year-old daughter has yet to do.

Well, my dear... it is no longer our day. The world changes, people change, ideals change.
I like that people have more freedom to ignore the expectations of previous generations. The key is that they are taught or at least learn the consequences of too much freedom from those outdated conventions.

Sorry for what your going through snowbird. I dont have children yet (I turned 28 today) and I dont know if I'm ever gonna have any. Very undecided on the whole kids thing. There sooooo cute when their babies, toddlers, (ooops, forgot about the terrible two's lol) younger, but when they get older, especially over 12, thats pretty much rebellious time, being a bad ass, thinking they know everything. People that I went to the kingdom hall with went through so much with their kids. I don't know if I have the balls to go through it. My relatives are going through a lot also.

Like attracts like and feeds more drama and problems into it than a person can handle.
There is the risk of getting caught and having a police record.
Others who do this kind of thing may have dangerous motives in mind when befriending such a person.
It's not safe for anyone. The consequences of doing the above and associating with others who do can be deadly: DUIs, DWIs, fights, disease and such.
With such a reputation as this, it's hard to find any well balanced people who would want to be friends.
I'm sorry about going into such detail, Snowbird, but some others just don't get how dangerous and socially suicidal this behavior is.
The friends one makes while engaging in this wild behavior usually don't have the person's best interest in mind.
Usually, young people don't do pot carefully or use cussing artfully or are careful who they hang out with late at night.
I'd be worrying my fool head off if my daughter was doing this. Already worrying it off with my son. He broke a lady's heart recently and that is horrible.
Joliette, I hear you, my dear. Raising children is not for the faint of heart.
Chenoa, I read your thread about your son and couldn't comment because it made me feel so bad.
Although I'm concerned for her, my granddaughter is her mother's problem.
I was just using her behavior as an example to show how savvy she is.
