Watchtower: Kings in Israel were prevented by law from becoming priests.
I thought Saul and David served as priests as well. Anybody know for sure?
This photo from page 13 needed an addition...as I'm pretty sure they just forgot to add it:

I always use this line of reasoning. Keep in mind I'm reasoning with a JW so everything in the Bible is 100% truth. "How many wrong teachings do the Bible writers push? Zero. Why's that? Because they are inspired of God. That's why we listen to what they say? Right? How many times have the Governing Body changed their teachings? They would only need to change their teachings if they weren't right. If you aren't right, you are wrong. So they couldn't possibly be inspired by God if what they teach is wrong. If they aren't inspired by God, why should we listen to them?"
I've had elders tell me that the GB isn't inspired by God. So I ask them why we should listen to them. They never have an answer.
Jonathan Dough,
Neither Saul nor David was a priest.

"Because the WTS is God's organization."
How do we know it's God's organization?
For many JWs, the honest answer would be, "Because they keep telling us so."
If pressed, most JWs would probably point to key doctrines -- no trinity, no hell, name Jehovah, kingdom preaching d2d, etc. and the lack of a better alternative -- "If the WTS isn't God's organization, what is? No one else has the truth."
Those are the basic answers I've been given to similar questions.
How can a bright light get lighter if it was never lit to start with ?
Don't forget the "tacking in the wind" explanation.
The GB goes back and forth until it gets things right.
And even when they're wrong they must be believed because unity of thought is the only way to avoid the confusion of Christendom, where they are "tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine."
Being tossed to and fro looks a lot like tacking in the wind to the uninitated, which is why you need the GB to keep you on track, so don't run ahead of the organization.
Got it?
Got it Ding !!!!
"If the WTS isn't God's organization, what is? No one else has the truth."
That is a viable answer, but one that JWs would refuse to even consider.
